ABOUT ME

The Best African-American Female Humor Writer in America

I'm a stand-up comedian (Comedy Central, HBO,The View, Si TV), writer (The Huffington PostStagetime Magazine), culture commentator (Fox News, MSNBC, CNN), and an ardent sci-fiction fan (Star Trek, Dune, Battlestar Galactica).

I graduated from Baruch College, City University of New York, with a degree in journalism and creative writing. Don't tell my Mom, but I was accepted into the City College MFA Creative Writing Program, but deferred admission to pursue a career in stand-up comedy.

How did I get to be The Best African American Female Humor Writer in America? Well, I wanted to be The Best African Canadian Female Humor Writer in Canada, but they have very strict rules about that sort of thing... some nonsense about me not actually being a Canadian citizen. Blah, blah, blah... whatever. Their loss, right?

But seriously: the world is going to label me. I figured I'd beat them to it. So essentially, I am the Best African-American Female Humor Writer in United States because I called it. I got dibbs. No take backs.
