Halifax Comedy Festival, ay!

Spent the weekend with our neighbors to the North for the 11th Annual Halifax Comedy Festival. I taped three shows that will be aired in a clip show format later this year on the CBC.

Everyone was extremely friendly: producers, volunteers, audience. What's a surly New Yorker to do with such warm hospitality, except love every minute of it?

Married Comics

Monday, April 24, we had the pleasure of performing on Matressmony: the comedy featuring married comedy couples with happy newlyweds Jen Dziura and Lord Carrett. These crazy kids got married on Sunday, and were on stage the next day to talk about the rigors of married life. It was great!

For those of you keeping score at home, Friday, May 5, makes five years for me and Mr. Mendrinos! Ain't love grand?

Yeah, but he's so tempermental; in a Miles Davis sort of way.

In all fairness, he gets frustrated 'cause no one else can keep up with him. I think he's often at his best when he does the Sonny Rollins thing and just flies solo, though some think it's just self-indulgent...

Yeah, but if the King of Kings can't be a little self indulgent, who can?
